XI. Advertising
From year 2005, Korea will be participating the Frankfurt Book
Fair as a main country. In order to commemorate this, this year¡¯s
fair will be celebrated more splendidly than ever. Along with the
Book Arts Fair, International Book Fair, International Electronic
Book Fair will be held at the same time.
Thus, we are sending information of the fair to major TV broadcasting
companies, newspapers, magazines, galleries, museums, and libraries.
Considering the number of visitors (250,000) for last year¡¯s book
arts exhibition at Guacheon National Museum of Art, we expect to
have many visitors at the fair.
XII. Price
Tradition has been that book artists decide the price of their
works. As the official business market for artists¡¯ books will launch
on the beginning of this fair in Korea, it is reasonable to let
the artists decide on the price of the works. Thus, please decide
the price of your works based upon your experience in the field,
time and amount of your effort put into the works, etc.
XIII. Fundraising
We received many questions regarding grants for travel and accommodation,
especially from our overseas participants. Fundraising for book
arts fair is not yet organized in Korea. However, let¡¯s hope for
the better future as many gallerists and museum curators will be
attending this fair.
XIV. Handling and Storage
We expect that visitors will be flooded especially in the afternoon.
In order to prevent your works from missing and damaging, please
ask the visitors to put on cotton gloves when handling the works.
Please do not leave your stall unattended. When you leave your stall,
please ask your assistants/colleagues to take care of the stall.
For overseas participants, please ask the interpreters to take care
of your stall in your absence.
We do not provide any storage boxes for overnight storage. Thus,
please bring clothes big enough to cover your works and table. At
the closing hour, there will be a closing announcement for the visitors.
During the announcement, you may cover the clothes over your works
and tape around your stall.
We are not responsible for the missing of works or damage caused
by mishandling.
XV. Interpreters - overseas participants
and absent participants only
Four interpreters will be attending the fair everyday. The interpreters
will help you in communicating with the visitors and curators. If
you have questions, leave your stall, or need help for sales of
your works, please do not hesitate to ask interpreters for help.
